  • The last film you watched... and was it any good

In the interests of saving others from wasting their precious gaming time on those really bad films that we all know exist I figured we could give our fellow peeps a heads up on whats good whats bad and whats just plain ugly ;D

To start...... Avoid Saw 4.... watched it the other night and the only feeling it left me with was that I had been cheated out of an hour and a half of my life... not to say that the deaths weren't appropriatly gruesome and that the feel of the film wasn't the same as the others, but it just felt like they had run out of ideas at 3 and were now trying to get that shark to jump... a waste of time and money in all ways. I can't give it half a smilie so it gets one for the deaths in it

Another film thats a bit iffy is The invasion... this is good, and youre thinking to yourself 'whats the problem' then the ending comes... I won't spoil it for you just in case you've just got it, but it leaves you with the whole 'trust hollywood to screw it up' opinion... but that aside it is a good remake of the bodysnatcher films

Last film i watched was Plains, Trains & Automobiles last night (awesome).

But bad film.......that's tough!!!! It would probably be.........either..........Aeon Flux or Ultra Violet which are both terrible films >

I also watched Shoot Em Up which left you wanting for the first 60mins and then blew you away.

Watched 'Planet Terror' today.... what a cool film that is, completely over the top and as cheesy as a film can get, but it's so brilliantly done that all that just adds to the enjoyment.... a truly brilliant film and the fake trailer at the beginning 'Machete' is great as well, done in true corny action trailer style with the deep voiceover ( I always wondered if they always talk like that) made me wish the film was real so I could watch it.....

all in all, perfect entertainment, another top film from Robert Rodriguez

When I watched Wild Hogs I saw myself in about 10 years ..... scary!!

Got 'Pathfinder' on DVD yesterday... I forgot how good that film really is, it's like 'First Blood' but with indians and vikings.... and with Clancy Brown doing his kergan bit from 'Highlander'.... whats not to love ;D

One i film i forgot to mention is AVP2:Reqiem.

What an abysmal film it really was. I am an avid lover of the Alien and Predator series and even enjoyed AVP as a whole, but this film made me want to shove forks in my eyes it was so bad.

To start with may i just say for those who haven't seen it yet the whole film was shot out of focus and was to dark, to the point where you couldn't see any real detail. Secondly AVP2 is a slasher movie, which in it's own right is a shameful move by the brothers Strause.

Another thing is the Aliens are all on rails and you can tell > , what were they thinking :-\, ay?

I could go on and on by will leave it there. When you come to watch it you can make your own minds up. As said i love both series and really enjoyed the first film for all it's faults but this is something else. It's as if they set out with the intention of destroying two of the greatest series of films in cinema history.

I watched 10,000 BC on Saturday.

Before you watch the movie let me tell you if you are expecting an historically, geographically correct film than you are going to be bitterly disappointed as this film is neither.

I wouldn't say its a bad film......it's just not that good, but still worth a look

If you want to watch this then wait until it comes out on DVD and give it a rent.

Took the girls to see 'The Spiderwick Chronicles' yesterday
I got a genuine suprise by actually enjoying it... the film doesn't waste to much time getting moving unlike many films of it's kind for children, yes we're looking at you boy wizard..

A nice story that makes sense and come up with a new take on the whole fairies and goblins in the garden tale..
If you have children don't be afraid to take them to it, it really is qiute good and if you don't you can wait till it comes out on DVD or like I did with the lion king go and see it anyway and just ignore the strange looks you get from other parents ;D

Took the girls to see 'Horton hears a Who' yesterday.... I love Dr Seuss, having read most of the stories as a child, and this film did not dissappoint, for me or the kids
A great family animated film which all can enjoy, as long as you like animation :-\

Everywhere should be like Whoville ;D

Went to see Drillbit Taylor, which was a good laugh. Good old Owen Wilson, can't go wrong.

I just wondered how many people had seen 'The Fountain' and what they thought of it, I thought it was absolutely brilliant but I know that others thought it was rubbish and others still didn't get it, How about you folks???

Last film I watched was probably Happy Gilmore. Love that film.
